Blog Post Two

My first public relations and advertising experience consisted of me managing the social media page of a trainer for a local high school basketball team in the area. I used to train with the coach during my time in high school so once he had learned that I was pursuing PR in college he asked if I got help manage his social media to help me start getting experience.

My tasks included going to team practices and games gathering photos and videos of players there. Between that I would break down, edit, and post videos for his page and from there I made connections with players on the team. Additional projects including making a highlight reel for a player that was putting together tape to send to colleges as he aspired to play at the next level.

This was over a period of abut 2 months last summer and is something I would definitely do again and provided me with a lot of experince going forward. I am currently working on getting team videos and photos posted on my website, and will provide an update as soon as possible.
